Common rail based improved combustion for low emissions (CRICE)

Objective

Europe plans the introduction of very stringent emission standards for heavy-duty diesel engine (EURO 4 and EURO 5). New technologies are essential to fulfil these emission limits. This project aims at the development of the next generation of fuel infection equipment (FIE) and is directed to a reduction of the emissions by in-cylinder measures, whereby the good fuel consumption of the diesel engine should be maintained. In particular advanced Common Rail (CR) fuel injection systems are to be employed.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
