Objective
RoadSense aims at supporting European Motor Vehicle Manufacturers in developing industry codes of practice in the field of Vehicle Safety and especially in Human Vehicle Interactions (HVI). RoadSense addresses the need to reduce the number of deaths and injured persons on European roads. RoadSense will deliver guidelines for the methods of HVI tests and will develop a driver behavioural simulation environment to evaluate new technology proposals. RoadSense is a project initiated by the European automotive industry through EUCAR to ensure that the approach to HVI strategy development will be adopted and then used by the European motor vehicle industry. RoadSense provides a framework for establishing robust Human Machine Interface requirements that will drive technology change.
