Objective
The strategic aim of this project is the development of a marketable and cost- effective hybrid power train by a common effort between the concerned partners, which shall lead to significant reductions in fuel consumption and therefore higher energy efficiency, will be fully accepted by the customer by its performance, reliability and hybrid-specific surplus values, and will maintain the competitiveness and attractiveness of the European car-manufactures by new product innovations. The output of this project shall lead to an effective and serious contribution for the future need in new transport means and concepts. Therefore this project is clearly focused on the development of a marketable hybrid power train in a time period of 3 years, validated by three demonstrator cars of different classes.
