Objective
Development and application on diesel engine of electro assisted turbo machinery and its control system in order to match air fuel ratio to low emission combustion requirements in situations in which actual air handling systems are not satisfactory (engine load/speed transients, low engine speed-load, engine starting sequences The system will too recover energy from exhaust gas whenever excess energy is available, slowing down turbo speed and limiting boost to an acceptable value, the electrical energy thus recovered is supplied to the vehicle systems to charge the battery and drive auxiliaries.
