Objective
The CLARESCO project aims at improving traffic safety and truck & car-drivers' comfort during nighttime driving. This will be achieved by analysing human perception and behaviour in dynamic lighting situations using adaptive rear and front lighting technologies, traffic and environmental conditions. Those aims will be carried out through the use of innovative real-time simulation tools by specifying assessment procedures and evaluation methodologies that focus on safety and comfort. As a consequence, safety, ergonomics and comfort recommendations concerning new lighting technologies for truck and car will be worked out.
