Objective
As the former thematic network, the aim of the new proposed network PREMTECH is the coordination of the activities of the RTD projects dealing with efficient and low emitting propulsion technologies for IC engines. While the first network was associated with the Auto-Oil I program, the new network takes into account the Auto-Oil II and the new program "Clean Air For Europe" (CAFE). The main objective of PREMTECH II is to support the projects on critical technologies (3.1.1) and technology platform (3.3) to resolve the conflict between efficiency and emissions, as opposed to the traditional efficiency/emissions trade-off, in view of the very ambitious carbon dioxide and pollutants emissions targets of 2010- 2012.
