Objective
Turbulence, in its many different aspects, has been the main underlying subject of different RTD projects within the EU IV and V Framework Programmes. However, dissemination of the results has been frequently scarce and limited to internal meetings of the partners participating in each project. The objective of this accompanying measure action is to assess and expose the current status of turbulence research in Europe, in the frame of the 8th European Turbulence Conference that will take place in Barcelona from June 27 to 30 in the year 2000. As most of the European turbulence community is expected to attend, the meeting will provide a unique opportunity to exchange information, disseminate results from RTD projects and assess future actions, promoting the relation among research groups of different universities, laboratories and industries.
