Objective
This proposal outlines a 24-months project to increase awareness about aeronautic related activities in the 6th Framework Programme and encourage the participation of SMEs. It is proposed as an Accompanying Measure with an innovative bottom-up approach: 20 local clusters of aeronautic companies will be connected and work in approach: 20 local clusters of aeronautic companies will be connected and work in synergy with selected experts to identify, advise and guide 200 SMES/ The initial network of local clusters is already represented in France, Germany, UK, Italy and Spain. It will be extended to other regions from the same countries and to other EU and NAS countries. Field work will be performed by experts not only with the identified SMEs through regional sessions and individual visits, but also through the development of direct contacts with large companies, research centres and other EC funded initiatives. The expected achievements are to promote 200 SMEs and make 30 of them participate in new aeronautic RTD projects
