Validation platform for integration of standardised components, technologies, and tools in an open, modular and impoved aircraft electronic system

Objective

VICTORIA, which stands for "Validation platform for Integration of standardised Components, Technologies and tools in an Open, modulaR and Improved Aircraft electronic system", is a Technology Platform project, aimed at preparing the application on future commercial Aircraft programs, ranging typically from year 2005, of the most recent technologies, methods and tools, in order to bring the European Aircraft electronics industry at the leading edge of competitiveness, in terms of development cost, operation cost, time to market , performances and services offered. The full perimeter of Aircraft electronics is considered, from flight-critical cockpit avionics and aircraft systems to crew and passenger information system and communication services. A standardization effort is run, concurrently with the building of a representative testbed, which will enable to validate, not only the various technologies and tools in terms of adequacy to the requirements and achievements of expected benefits but also, will validate the new standards themselves, enabling further large and interoperable deployment on an open, competitive way of these new technologies and tools.
