Objective
The aim of the initiative, is reducing aircraft development time and cost to market by the development of a new tool and process, for the support to the Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA). The main goal is to provide aerospace industries with a tool that will enable to perform in an easy way a "qualitative" simulation of an aircraft system behavior both in normal and failure conditions. We do not intend to realize a further tool for the performance simulation of a physical system, but a tool able to reason on each system logic, by means of qualitative parameters. The innovative aspect of this projects are in the possibility to develop FMECA analysis by using system models with lower complexity and at a lower cost then traditional approaches.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
