Objective
The density of air traffic increases steadily with local congestion becoming more and more of a problem. These increasing traffic demands call for innovative system solutions on-board aircraft to improve the current safety and reliability standards. ISAWARE II is a major contribution to solve the issue of improving both safety and efficiency of flight operations. The project aims at a better communication between the pilot and its avionics system, by applying an interactive concept and providing the crew with a self-intuitive presentation of the whole external situation. ISAWARE II innovative technologies work towards an improved crew situation awareness leading to an increased global safety. The introduction on the market shall lead to a reduction of at least 5% per year of the Approach and Landing related Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT) accident occurrence.
