WakeNet2- Europe, an European thematic network for aircraft wake turbulence

Objective

WakeNet2 is a continuation of the 1998 European Thematic Network WakeNet on wake turbulence. WakeNet2 is organised in three areas:
wake turbulence phenomena,
instrumentation for research and operations and
safety, capacity and operations.

The aim is to promote interaction between research and applications (end users). 13 partners out of these areas form the forum that reviews all activities and makes recommendations for research directions. 7 'Working Groups' will be formed around specific themes. 8 Links will be established with particular European (e.g. all wake turbulence related EU-programs) and US activities or groups of persons (e.g. pilots). Additionally, 3 workshops will be organised. The already established WakeNet Internet site will be expanded.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
