Physics and technology of semiconductor materials and structures for optolectronics and spintronics

Objective

A package of measures is proposed to enhance quality of research and training on Physics and Technology of Semiconductor Materials and Structures for Optoelectronics and Spintronics , provided in the Centre. It is proposed to intensify research on ultraviolet photo detectors based on nitride semiconductors as well as on novel materials of potential significance for emerging spintronic technologies. Proposed measures will help to use more effectively an existing research capacity of the Centre. which will facilitate integration of Poland into the European Research Area. It is proposed to organize a series of workshops and visits of scientists from and to the Centre. A twinning arrangement with a fellow centre in Europe is proposed. Networking of research activities on nitride semiconductors and support for research feedback for development of spintronic materials are planned.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
