Objective
This proposal addresses the improvement in the commercial position of the European industrial and trade decorative coating sectors while minimizing health, safety and environmental impacts. A thematic network involving 33 RTOs and industrialists from 17 nations has been assembled to conduct a programme of work to 1) identify best European coating process practice and 2) transfer technology to secure its uptake. The project seeks to improve the technology stock of process operators. We expect through the networking web site established and workshops conducted to provide information and practical independent advice to the large number of SMEs in the sector. Information generated in the project will support policy development and assist technical and geographic cohesion.
