Green corrosion inhibitors of metals

Objective

Use of inhibitors is an important task in the protecting of metals form corrosion. Up to now the majority of the used metal corrosion inhibitors is toxic for human being and environment. The aim of the project is to elaborate and produce nontoxic adducts for protecting of metals to water and non-water media (such as paints, antifreezes) using nontoxic boron-coordinated compounds. It has been shown that these compounds are effective corrosion inhibitors and maintain their effectivity within the wide temperature range and effective under both dynamic and static conditions. The project aim is the synthesis of these compounds, study of their properties, trials of their corrosion properties in accordance with European standards, their wide-scale production and sale in EC countries.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
