Objective
Guidelines for Quality Assurance in microbiological analysis of Water and Food have been recently published in English language. They summarize the European R&D experience in the field of microbiological measurements, which has been significantly financed since 1986 by the European Commission (SM&T Programme and former BCR). The objective of the project is to disseminate them in 5 major European languages in order to respond to the daily needs of thousands of regional laboratory managers, microbiologists and higher Education Centres. Financing support is claimed for the translations while publication, promotion and distribution will be entirely supported by Publishers in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
