Objective
The proposed RTD will provide the means to disseminate the European Ultra Low Temperature scale to the research and industrial communities. It will thereby underpin the European measurement infrastructure, support European industrial activity in cryotechnology and instrumentation, standardize ULT measurements in Europe, and improve the accessibility of traceable thermometry to users. The project includes the development of thermometers, temperature fixed points and associated instrumentation. These will then be evaluated at metrological institutes and will undergo trials at industrial laboratories. Exploitation of the devices will follow completion of the project in the short to medium term.
