Objective
TOFDPROOF responds exactly to the GROW-2000 10/00 Topic IV.2 dedicated call. This proposal aims at developing and favoring the effective industrial application of the Time Of Flight diffraction (TOFD) method, in support of the interest expressed by CEN TC121 SCB5B. The proposal aims at filling the gap that hinder TOFD application as a stand-alone NDT. The work programme takes account of technological factors: field of application, comparison with conventional methods, defect acceptance criteria as well as human factors: referential and guidelines for training and certification, and economical factors results will be in a suitable form for implementation in CEN standard. Special attention is drown to dissemination of the results.
