Objective
Paper & fibre industry in Europe invest huge sums to preserve competitiveness of European productions while meeting ever-stricter environmental standards. Ancillary industries support this with specialised, leading edge technology to improve processes. Surface charge as parameter for process control allows waste reduction, reduced dosing of process chemicals and better product quality. For application in industrial environment development of reproducible instrumentation together with a stable control strategy is required. The consortium for a step 2 project will comprise SMEs from D (supplier of surface charge instruments for lab and online setup), F (supplier of process and laboratory fine chemicals, supplies and consulting activities for paper mills), SI (end user, fabrics finishing and dyeing), RTD performers from SI (interaction phenomena between fibres and chemicals) and A (development of sensors and surface charge instrumentation for online process control).
Additional. partners will be seek: supplier of process and laboratory fine chemicals for paper mills and in textile industry.
