Objective
The purpose of the feasibility study GLOBAL-HORIZON is to prepare Europe for international collaboration in the deployment of telematics-based provision of top quality cancer care expertise to health professionals, first in the G7 countries and later world-wide. The project will study the feasibility of linking centres of expertise in each of several areas, enabling their collective know-how to be shared globally. It will also examine regulatory, technical and other factors involved in linking the centres. The primary outcome will be a set of action plans for implementing a specific project in each area to boost telematically-supported global cooperation in the field of cancer care.
