Access to research spectroscopic data and associated chemical knowledge (EUROSPEC)

Objective

The EUROSPEC project will establish the infrastructure necessary to generate high quality reference spectroscopic databases from the scientific literature with links to available associated chemical knowledge. The network will coordinate electronic data submission from peer-reviewed journals and make the data available to the reviewers and finally the scientific community. The consortium consists of experts in the difficult field of spectroscopic data handling and metrology with previous experience in solving similar problems at EU and international level. The consortium also includes international experts in the development of new spectroscopic data standards and the presentation of scientific data in a web based environment.
