Objective
TRANS-TALK brings together scientists, professionals and policy-makers who have worked on the development of transport policy and project evaluation methodologies in different settings, and/or have used these in their work, to discuss the commonalities and differences among various methodologies with a view to elaborating a framework for their integration. The question that will be addressed is defined by the terms of reference as one of complexity in variation: how to decide which assessment method best suits which decision-making situation and how to integrate the results. The objective of TRANS-TALK is to develop such a framework for integration. This will be of major relevance for policy analysis and evaluation, hence by default also for decision-making processes. It will thus contribute to the further development of the Common Transport Policy.
