Objective
This is a concerted action between European national and/or regional health authorities, with the involvement of industry and health telematics services providers. Its objective is to foster development of coherent national and regional plans for the implementation of health telematics. For this purpose, it will analyse the participation of public healthcare authorities, industry and users organisations in national and international R&D programmes. It will establish a directory of interested participants and contact persons and synthesise the results of the significant pilot experiments. It will also critically review the requirements priorities and strategies expressed by the healthcare authorities and end-users organisations and match them with the offer of products and services announced or planned by the industrial sector.
