Objective
The Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences is an international institute that covers the broad spectrum of mathematical sciences. During 2000 the Institute will hold a number of inter-disciplinary programmes and one Euro Summer School will take place during several of these. The objective is to ensure that the work of the Institute is disseminated more widely in the European Community and that younger people from that community are given the opportunity to participate in a wide range of mathematically related sciences. The programmes are linked by the fact that they all explore an important topic at the cutting edge of the mathematical sciences but it is expected that different scientists will attend each and hence a large number of young people could be involved in the series as a whole.
