Objective
The PAPRET project deals with the study of microscopic systems respectively by the nanotechnological, the biological and the metrological approach. The combination of these three different competences is an essential element for the development of technologies in the future that will be based on miniaturised systems of great reliability and to be produced on a large scale. The project is made up of three Courses (PAPRET 1 "Nanometer Scale Science and Technology", PAPRET 2 "Protein Folding, Evolution and Design", PAPRET 3 "Recent Advances in Metrology and Fundamental Constants"). In the three Courses particular attention is dedicated to panoscopy and nanomanipulation, to the possibilities of protein modification, and to the metrological aspects of physical quantum and microscopic phenomena.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
