Objectif

While the objective of modern toxicology is still protection of life against external harmful factors, the focus of research in this field has gradually evolved toward a mechanic oriented science. Also it has become apparent during recent years that food contaminants are a relevant health risk for the consumer. Another novel aspect is the reviewed interest that industry has in the identification of new targets based on mechanistic studies to assess reliably adverse of drugs and to develop new therapeutic principles.
