Objective
The Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences is an international research institute that covers the broad spectrum of mathematical sciences. During 2002 the Institute will hold a number of interdisciplinary programmes and it is intended that one EuroWorkshop will take place during each of the programmes New Contexts for Stable Homotopy Theory and Computation, Combinatorics and Probability. The objective is to ensure that the work of the Institute is disseminated more widely in the European Community, and that younger people from that community are given the opportunity to participate in these areas of mathematically related sciences. The EuroWorkshops will explore an important topic at the cutting edge of the mathematical sciences and a number of young people will be involved, meeting a range of distinguished scientists.
