Objective
Laser Florence 2001 would like to represent an annual event in Florence (Italy), including a Trade Fair and an International Meeting together with a series of "hands/on" Courses recognized by the most outstanding national and international professional related organizations. Topics of TRADE FAIR will be the uses of lasers in Medicine, Surgery and Biology, and also in Veterinary, in Art, in cleaning monuments and in detecting archaeological sites, the uses of lasers in Industry and other sectors, including Show business and Fashion. The 16^TH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS LASER MEDICINE [Chairmen: A. Hofstetter (D), M.L. Pascu (Rum), W. Waidelich (D)], jointed to our Meeting, will discuss what is news about laser technology in the different sectors of medicine and surgery, encouraging its correct use, especially as regards safety norms. Many Pioneers of Laser Medicine and Technology will tell their scientific experiences, in comparison with different point-of-view of peoples which cane from different Countries, Cultures, Ages and Specializations.
All this will made in a friendly way, hoping that the scientific discussion will give new positive conclusions, as the three previous edition of Laser Florence given always The COURSES will show the state of the art on the uses of Laser technology for diagnosis and treatment in various medical specialties, and the basis of laser physics and engineering for physicians. Each course is limited to a maximum of fifty participants and is composed of a theoretical part and of a series of clinical cases to be treated "on the spot". The courses are followed by discussion and final tests of self/teaching and self/evaluation and are included in the Continued Medical Education Program of the International Academy fa Laser Medicine and Surgery and of the principal Institutions of different Countries The Abstracts of the meeting will be printed in Internet in the "Academy Laser Journal", and the Proceedings by the SPIE.
