Objective

The CSEF (Centre for Studies in Economics and Finance - University of Salemo) is looking to hire two Marie Curie fellows for two 2 year fixed term appointments to undertake academic research related to saving and portfolio choices. Over the two-year period, the prospective Fellows will work with the Scientific Director of the project (Professor Marco Pagano) and members of the CSEF group with high competencies in the field (e.g. Prof. Tullio Jappelli). There will be opportunities for joint and/or single authorship of papers arising from the work, for presenting work in progress at the internal CSEF seminars series and for presenting papers at conferences organized as part of the CSEF programme (e.g. TMR, RTN, CEPR Conferences). Candidates must be nationals of a Member or Associated State (other than ltalian), must be 35 years old or less at the time of selection and have a PhD, or at least four years of full-time research experience at postgraduate level other than doctoral studies. They should have a genuine interest in and some knowledge of issues in the corporate finance and portfolio choices field and a strong background in data analysis, statistics and econometrics and a good experience in handling large datasets. The University of Salemo is committed to developing, maintaining and supporting a policy of equal opportunities in employment and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
