Marie curie fellowships in microstructural characterization of materials

Objective

The Italian National Research Council (CNR), through IRMEC (Research Institute for the Development of Crystallographic Methods) is offering Some fellowships mainly focused in the micro structural characterization of different classes of materials with particular attention to one of the following research areas:
- powder diffraction techniques on polycrystalline materials and peak profile analysis
- transmission electron microscopy (TEM);
- high resolution x-ray scattering techniques. The fellows will be hosted at CNR IRMEC, a department of the Italian National Research Council, where they will join a group of researchers and PhD students. Fellows will be expected to attend and to give seminars for being fully integrated with the scientific activities of the Department, having thus the opportunity to joining one of the major European group in crystallography, with an outstanding research reputation. The realization of new laboratories (equipped with a high-resolution x-ray diffractometer and a transmission electron microscope), already scheduled in the development plane of our Institute, will become a preferential pivot for the integration of the new competence into the activity of the research group, favoring a stable scientific collaboration with the fellows, by exploiting particularly the competences in the field of material characterization of the new researchers of the permanent staff. CNR Irrnec is located in Bari, Italy

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
