Objective
The Biomedical Area of CRS4 seeks researchers to apply for a "Marie Curie Development Fellowship" in the "Human Potential Work Program' of the EU DG XII. AREAS OF EXPERTISE: Statistical analysis of large data set produced by high volume DNA arrays QUALIFICATIONS PhD Computer Science. Up to 2 year's experience in: -high volume data analysis systems; -computer programming (C++, Perl, Java, & possibly parallel programming) . Knowledge of biotechnology is advantageous. HOST INSlTUTION CRS4 Cagliari, Italy - an interdisciplinary applied research center a stimulating environment with over 80 researchers working on projects including simulation, numerical modeling, scientific visualization & IT. CONDITIONS
1) Enrollment under the IHP European Programme governs all condition, e.g. eligibility & financial arrangements.
2) Selection by the CRS4 must be confirmed by the Commission.
3) Fellows must have a Ph.D. obtained in a Higher Education Institution, recognized in the European Union.
4) The Fellow will enter a 24 months contract with CRS4 with social security benefits.
5) Proficient English; basic Italian or an undertaking to acquire it rapidly.
