Regulation of transcription and mrna processing by oncogenic signals

Objective

EU Improving Human Potential IHP Programme Marie Curie Development Host Fellowships Two-year post-doctoral fellowships are offered to work on the connection between oncogenic signaling and coupled gene expression. We have recently developed cell systems to study transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression and we would like to exploit them further. The successful candidate is expected to employ molecular, cell biology as well as biochemical processes to understand how prototype oncogenes like Ras and c-erbB2 regulate gene expression during colon and mammary tumorigenesis, respectively. The positions will be activated in summer/autumn 2002 and the estimated amount of salary is 3100 Euros/month. The Institute provides a multidisciplinary scientific environment which encourages interactions. Candidates must be less than 35 years old and citizens of an EU member or associated state. Applications, including CV and names of two referees should be sent to Dr A. Pintzas, Institute of Biological Research and Biotechnology, National Hellenic Research Foundation, 48, Vas.Constantinou Avenue, 116 35 Athens, Greece. Tel: 30-1-7273753, Fax.30-1-7273755 e-mail apint@eie.gr
