Objective
The research project that is presented here has its central theme in the development of molecular linguistics: an approach to the study of natural language which takes as a model molecular biology, in particular the behavior of DNA molecules when recombination takes place. Within this framework we present three main objectives:
1. Establishment of syntactic and semantic foundations of molecular linguistics. Formalization of language structure and elaboration of rules.
2. Description and construction of what we call molecular linguistic networks: a complex semantic syntactic mechanism which intends to help the analysis and generation of linguistic productions from a molecular point of view.
3. Implementation of the theoretical results obtained with a double objective:
a. To make a viable application for computing, computational linguistics and artificial intelligence.
b. To try a falsation/verification of the hypothesis shown.
