Objective
My main objective is to develop a conceptual model of IC measurement methodology applicable for benchmarking projects. By bringing together micro-and macro-economic perspectives to a common denominator, I will be able to:
- Increase the effectiveness of benchmarking applications.
- Make a contribution towards creating European standards for IC reporting. Creating standard methods for IC accounting is a necessary task for building Knowledge-based Economy in Europe. My research will be a milestone towards achieving this goal.
- Provide decision makers with a useful measurement tool for assessing regional potential for Innovation and Development.
- I will develop a new benchmarking methodology useful for regional development studies. It will which capitalize on the Intellectual Capital, thus introducing a new, innovative dimension to regional development studies and mapping of excellence. I will test the applicability of various IC models for benchmarking applications, conducting a series of preliminary surveys. case studies and surveys in order to determine the benchmarking requirements. I will participate in benchmarking project on Mapping of Excellence in Austria developing a Model of Intellectual Capital for Identification and Benchmarking of Excellence and Innovation Constructing. The model will serve the purpose of measuring best practices of Intellectual Capital Management and Knowledge Management for assessing Corporate Demand for RTD. I will thereafter conduct a study assessing perspectives of Utilizing Intellectual Capital Methodology in Central European Centres of Excellence by processing data and looking for patterns. The final report will include a detailed description of the new measurement approach, it applicability for development of innovation, implications for creating a European IC accounting standards based on knowledge-based processes recognized in the project.
