Production of hydrogen and methane during the anaerobic bio-treatment of olive pulp

Objective

This is an assessment of the work performed by Hariklia Gavala in my group at the Technical University of Denmark. Her work concerns biodegradation studies of pollutants in waste material such as sewage sludge and has been done over the last one and a half year. During this period Hariklia Gavala has proven herself to be a hard working scientist who works devoted on achieving her goals. She has recently obtained a number of new results and is currently working on several publications. I can therefore recommend that her for a continuation of her fellowship.
