Skull form in humans and apes : evolution and development

Objective

The growth and evolution of the skull are intrinsically related. Here, a new approach to the analysis of cranial growth in modern humans and apes is proposed to predict size structural variation in skulls. The problematic status of Homo erectus will be reassessed in the light of modern cranial development
