Coulomb excitation of neutron-rich nuclei with post-accelerated radioactive ion beams

Objective

We propose to study by Coulomb excitation the structure of neutron-rich nuclei in the vicinity of the neutron N=40 and N=50 shell gaps using the MINIBALL array at the REX-ISOLDE facility at CERN.
