Molecular pathophysiology of the inner ear: the role of connexins in prelingual hearing impairment

Objective

Construction of animal models for inherited prelingual hearing impairment by conditional knockout of connexing genes. Cellular and molecular analysis of inner ear function in those models to understand pathogenesis.
