European doctorate : social history of europe and the mediterranean

Objetivo

The European Doctorate: Social History of Europe and the Mediterranean, "Building on the Past ", allows access to a training programme offered by a network of six universities. You will have the opportunity to broaden your research and you will enhance your cross cultural appreciation and understanding of the heterogeneous historical evolution of Europe. PhD training from 3 to 12 months (joint introductory course, research seminars and projects at partner sites, tailor-made supervision by leading historians) to complement and deepen your doctoral curriculum at one of the six universities listed below. Financial support will be provided by the EU's 5th framework Marie Curie Fellowship Programme for the whole exchange period. The fellow will receive Euro 1200/month and reimbursement of travel costs. Eligibility criteria:
- Fellows must be nationals of or resident (at least 5 years) in a EU Member or Associated State
- Fellows must be 35 or less at the time of selection (exceptions can be made for compulsory military service or childcare)
- Fellows must be pursuing studies for a PhD-level degree in History (or related fields) at a EU Member or Associated State
- Fellows cannot choose a European Doctorate partner site in her/his home country, and must not have carried out their normal activity in the chosen country for more than 12 months in the two years prior to their appointment.
