High performance dispersed polymers

Objective

(Number) Marie Curie fellowships immediately available for research in Polymerization in Dispersed Media. These are funded by the European Commission and will be devoted to support short stays (3-9 months) of young researchers already pursuing doctoral studies in related areas. The fellowships include a monthly living allowance of 1200 Euro plus a contribution to travel costs of 100 Euro/month. The development of dispersed polymers with improved performance, the achievement of consistent production, process intensification and the production of environmentally friendly products are some of the exciting scientific and industrial challenges that are addressed to in our research program. Thus, the mechanism governing polymer microstructure, latex particle morphology and particle surface characteristics are investigated in an attempt to develop first-principles based processes for latexes with improved performance. New sensors as well as innovative on-line control strategies are under investigation to achieve a consistent production of high performance latexes. Process intensification is addressed by transforming semi batch processes into continuous processes. Methods to produce VOC-free products are under investigation. The University of the Basque Country is an affirmative action, equal opportunity organization. Qualified women are encouraged to apply.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
