Design and implementation of asymmetric methodology: reagents, catalysis, target synthesis

Objective

Applications are invited from European Ph.D. students, from outside the United Kingdom, to undertake in the areas of asymmetric synthesis and catalysis and their application to the synthesis of biologically active molecules at the University of Nottingharn. The Staff of the DIAMeCTS research group have a wide range of research interests in this area and specific details can be found at the DIAMeCTS web site. Applicants will normally be students currently in the second or third year of a PhD programme in organic chemistry related to: asymmetric synthesis, chiral bioactive product synthesis, chiral catalysis, asymmetric organometallic reagents, chiral ligand design, etc. Informal enquiries can make to the co-ordinator of the DIAMeCTS group via the site web page. The DIAMeCTS group is part of the University of Nottingharn that is an equal opportunities employer and does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, political or religious belief.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
