European macromolecular crystallography infrastructure network

Objective

Macromolecular X-ray crystallography can only flourish in Europe if the means and methods that are being developed at our centres of excellence, are disseminated efficiently. Here we propose to promote this process, and to facilitate access to research infrastructures, by organising four different types of meetings in an EU spanning Network.:
1) Schools aimed at bringing together young scientists are an excellent instrument for spreading expert knowledge and creating new, informal networks between institutes throughout the EU;
2) Teaching workshops will allow young scientists to be coached by specialists in the latest techniques and methods in a hands-on environment, and form a vital addition to the larger-scale schools;
3) Integration workshops promote the development of new ideas and procedures by bringing together experts in the field;
4) These activities will be organised and directed in co-ordination meetings of participants of the proposed Network.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

This project has not yet been classified with EuroSciVoc.
