Biaxial, piezo-electric, shear facility

Objective

BI PIEZO SHEAR FACILITYLaboratory for biaxial, shear and piezoelectric actuation testsA new facility is now available free of charge to experimentalists from Member States and Associated States. The offered facility is the Laboratory of the "Institute of Mechanics of Materials and Geostructures S.A." (IMMG) (www.immg.gr ) located near Athens, in Greece. Research teams can perform shear, biaxial and high rate of loading testing for a period not exceeding three months. Monotonous - creep - fatigue tests at low, room and high temperatures can be executed. In particular a new patented (EP 0687899) machine, developing uniform shear stresses on a suitably configured specimen is available. The machine allows local deformation measurement and cyclic-creep through zero tests at a temperature ranging from 4K to 1200° C.

Research teams requesting access should submit to IMMG (immg@otenet.gr) a proposal describing the work they wish to carry out at the infrastructure and the CVs of the researchers expected to take part. Only researchers that are entitled to disseminate or arrange the dissemination o f the knowledge they have generated under the project are eligible to benefit of access to the infrastructure. An exception to this rule may be made only in the case of researchers from SMEs.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
