Interface ananlysis at atomic level and properties of advanced materials

Objective

Under the supervision of world leading experts in the theoretical as well as experimental investigation of interfacial phenomena, at least 8 students will participate in this multidisciplinary research effort. They will be trained from the geometrical description of interfaces based on group theory to the fabrication of devices such as diodes made in GAN layers. By traveling from one partner to the other, they will learn how to use the various theoretical concepts and interpret correctly the experimental observations. By participation to all the planned scientific as well as most of administration meetings, they will be acquainted to managing projects. Moreover, it is planned to organize videoconferences with access of graduated students of the participating entities. Due to the very edge research that we intend to carry out, most of the results will have to be disseminated rapidly by publications in specialized journals that is another contribution in training of a larger specialized audience.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
