Objective
Due to the competences of the participating research groups, the network training programme is related to several disciplines: chemical, materials and mechanical engineering, chemistry, physics, numeral analysis. The topics concerned are fundamental (turbulence, micro mixing, optics) as well as applied (CFD, reactor design, scaling-up). Some of them are most important for industry and not really taught in universities (CFD, modeling). The direct participation of industrial partners to the network is a warrant for the industrial relevance of the topics. An annual training session will be organized around existing short Erasmus courses. These sessions will take place on different sites, preferably industrial. The basic programme will be completed by presentations of industrial partners and workshops around the research works in progress. These sessions will be open to external academic and industrial participants. In addition, individual training will be ensured thanks the exchange of young researchers between the participants labs. Stays of three months per PH D student (directly financed or not by the network) are envisaged.
