Rapid global change during the cenomanian/turonian oceanic anoxic event: examination of a natural climatic experiment in earth history

Objective

Modern research in Earth sciences is strongly interdisciplinary. Significant advances require the ability to understand and synthesize data from a range of different disciplines. The rapid development of research in global change research has produced an urgent need for scientists with a high level of understanding of modern multi-disciplinary science. Our network will provide the participants, particularly the young researches, with experience and training in a multi-disciplinary project and with particular training embracing the fields of geochemistry, as well as working in a new scientific environment, young scientists will participate in explicit training courses; laboratory visits and workshop training sessions. The network will form an ideal training ground for young researchers to become experts on Global Change.
