Objective
In this Network, training is a basic objective. The multidisciplinary research project will encourage young researchers to go beyond the limits of their specific research topic and be involved in the project as a whole. The aim is to provide them with a broad and solid insight into the different steps of the scientific project, from the design of potential new drugs to biological and pharmacological testing, passing through chemical synthesis and structural studies. Young researchers will be deeply involved in a particular aspect of the common problem, but they will also become acquainted with other approaches and advanced techniques from their stays in the different laboratories of the Network and other activities. Since scientific research is highly specialised today, there is a great need for researchers who are able to deal with different topics and techniques in different fields. The goal is to integrate the essentials of the experience and philosophies of the different teams into a common core of knowledge. Postdoctoral fellows and other young researchers will flank the senior participants to fully exploit the possibilities of the network by creating a collaborative research attitude and by learning the techniques of interdisciplinary and transnational research management.
