Vcsels for information society technology applications

Objective

VCSELs are expected to have a broader and broader use in opto-electronics. The network involves the most advanced European laboratories for a complete research work on this subject and will offer a unique training capability for young scientists interested in this field. They will become familiar with a wide variety of domains ranging from fabrication to device and system assessment, tests in linear, non-linear and quantum optics, condensed matter physics, non-linear dynamics, including the most sophisticated techniques in electronics and optics. The training will be provided in a interdisciplinary atmosphere and completed by visits and collaborations between complementary laboratories. The young researchers will be involved in programming the collaboration work, improving also their organization skills. In such a highly competitive field closely connected with information technology, the young scientists trained by the network will be highly appreciated by the European Industry.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
