Quantum entangled states of trapped particles

Objective

The network training deals with signal processing, optical physics, lasers, and related topics. Since the network groups are used to fund excellent doctoral students on a national basis, only post-doc positions are asked for. The trainees will learn to manage complex experiments involving many scientific areas, as well as project planning and students advisement. To promote their European roles, pre-doc and post-doc students will be involved in network workshops and exchanges, and in two types of specific actions:
- short training sessions for all young scientists in the network ;
- "YEP" (Young European Physicist) workshops, organized by the young scientists themselves for promoting co-operation and exchange of experience. Quantum information processing was recognized as a key technology in the IST/FET Proactive Action Quantum Information Processing and Communication. The network groups are at the forefront of QIPC research, and the trainees will be educated in a superior way to cope with it.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.
