European network surface engineering of new alloys for super high efficiency power generation

Objective

There are insufficient well-trained researchers in Europe with expertise in the use of materials for value-added high temperature power generation and other industrial applications. The partners will provide training in high-temperature materials selection, corrosion and protection for young researchers from many European countries, thereby providing skilled personnel for European industry as it designs, builds and operates more efficient and cleaner technologies. Emphasis will be placed on technical, design, systems, project -management and communicational skills, using carefully structured training programmes and site experiential visits in research-oriented environments where training is a core activity; the researchers will spend training periods in industrial laboratories. Thereby increasing awareness of the importance of life cycle costing in industrial plant.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.
